Hello!

I've been snapping pics since 1978 when I curiously picked up my Father's all manual, mechanical Nikkormat FT2 Film camera at our home in Stowe Vermont.  I'd been hurt skiing and was looking for something to do while I recovered.  I asked my Father how to use his camera and he replied "it's not that simple" pointing to a series of five books he had by Time/Life on the topic.  I started reading.  With each book read he'd briefly challenge me with a verbal comprehension test and then relinquish another piece of his gear for me to try.  By the end of that winter I'd read the books and turned my bedroom into a Black and White Darkroom.

Fast forward to 1997 - thousands of images later - I start taking on photo assignments and jobs.  I've been "shooting full time" since 2000.

These days I enjoy a wide range of photo assignments.  I am always refining my skills with new challenges and keeping up with evolving technology.

I photograph a wide range of editorial and commercial assignments for varied longtime clients such as the Canadian Press, Red Bull Media House, and more recently retailer “Sporting Life”.

I have been fortunate to shoot some big events such as the Olympics (for Visa, SRC), Formula One car racing (for Red Bull), and NHL Hockey (for Getty/NHL).

I do not chase ambulances or celebrities…

What these different photo assignments/jobs have in common; is that they challenge me to be as observant and perceptive as possible, to anticipate action, and be ready with my gear when things happen to capture fleeting moments decisively and creatively for clients.

I'm calm, experienced, easy to work with, and enjoy what I do.

Have a look at the pics on this site and please contact me with any comments, questions, and requests for availability/quotes.

Thanks for your interest!
